Passport DC is a Cultural Tourism DC program that opens doors to one of Washington’s most distinctive assets – its embassies and world-class cultural scene. Enjoy a served reception, Artini Bar, a private exhibit, artist meet and greet, international music, and great people. Featuring a surprise gift to a randomly selected VIP Art Soiree guest.
Postconceptualism: Curated by Mark Cameron Boyd and Fernando Batista, this exhibit features a number of works as installation, interactive sculpture, and multi-media among others.
Video as Video: Rewind to Form: In this exhibit, curated by Alicia Eler and Peregrine Honig, Nine international artists explore the use of painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, animation and Internet-based coding languages through video art. With this new showing of work, we ask a question that challenges art history's rich past: In an increasingly digital world, will videos one day replace paintings? Exhibit on view from April 30 thru May 9. Curators in DC for the weekend.
